Born to Northern Italian immigrant parents, Chef Christine Berni-Silverstein grew up in the NYC restaurant industry and worked in various family kitchens in Queens, NY. Her father, a classically trained chef, was a food perfectionist while her mother was a master at putting together large, delicious meals with an odd assortment of on-hand ingredients - both styles harnessed in Christine's cooking approach.
The convergence of her Italian cooking heritage and finance background makes her an all-in-one sensation who combines her superior cooking skills to detail with precision business acumen and landed a finalist spot on Fox's "MasterChef ". After the show, Christine further honed her skills as a private chef and cooking class instructor to some of NYC's top financiers. Along the way, Christine collaborated with Urbani Truffles as its VIP Chef and later Culinary Director to launch the Company's NYC-based Truffle Lab - a creative concept, test kitchen and tasting room. Since then, Christine has become a private investor in multiple projects furthering unique food concepts.
When not in the boardroom, kitchen or on a food crawl, Christine dedicates her time to giving back and lends her financial and culinary services to various charitable organizations.
